Family Connection

Family connection means so much to the First Step Staff and is an integral part of fostering our First Step community.

As part of our efforts to keep parents informed and in the loop of the going-ons of their child’s classrooms teachers classroom blogs, instagram accounts, etc (all password protected) to  supplement the daily/weekly written communication.

Throughout the year First Step teachers compile portfolios based on the Maine Early Learning Guidelines (LINK!).  These portfolios showcase your child’s growth and development.  Formal conferences are available for our parents twice a year.

We also have family gatherings and outings through out the year that gives our families a chance to get to know each other.  Some of these events include our Annual Potluck Picnic, and our Annual Holiday Sing Along. From apple picking to catching a sea dogs game, we love organizing events for the families we serve.
